Parent Participation

Parent Participation:
Families can choose to participate in our co-op inspired organization where each family plays a role in enhancing our school through enrichment, fundraising, and general support. Families who choose to participate in the co-op will receive a $25 per month discount on tuition. Families who are unable to commit to a co-op role may still participate by volunteering in class and school activities when their time allows.

 

Details of our Co-Op organization: 

Our Parent Co-Op is made up of several committees, overseen by the Director and the Executive Committee.  Families who participate in the Co-Op are expected to commit for the full year and participate in their committee.  Families are also expected to clean toys once a year, on a rotating schedule.  Please note that while the scope and the main expectations are fixed these roles and the details are subject to change while we expand our school.

Executive Committee:

Enrichment Committee:

  • The main role of the Enrichment Committee is to plan events that enhance the program as a whole and to provide mission projects for our young children and families.
  • Made up of a Committee Chair and Committee Members.

Fundraising Committee:

  • The main role of the Fundraising Committee is to plan events and fundraising opportunities for families that supports our school financially as well as strengthens the community.  The fundraising committee works directly under the preschool director.

Recruitment Committee:

  • The main role of the Recruitment Committee is to offer hospitality to prospective families and to provide support to recruitment efforts.  The recruitment committee works directly under the preschool director.

Social Committee:

  • The main role of the Social Committee is to provide social activities for families both smaller playdates as well as larger scale events.  These events strengthen the community and enhance our school.

Housekeeping Coordinator- Our Housekeeping coordinator manages and organizes monthly toy cleaning rotation within the co-op parents.  Specifics for this role found here

Class Parents- Our Class Parents work closely with our teachers, providing support where needed.  Specifics for this role found here
